Haberdashers' Adams Grammar School is a single-sex boys grammar school (mixed 6th Form) and Newport Girls' High School Academy is a single-sex girls grammar school.

Haberdashers’ Adams Grammar School allocates 115 places in Year 7 and Newport Girls’ High School Academy allocates 85 places in Year 7.

Both Haberdashers’ Adams Grammar School and Newport Girls’ High School Academy follow the CEM (University of Durham) 11 plus selection test.

WHAT IS NEWPORT LIKE?

Newport is small market town in Shropshire, England. It is not to be confused with Newport, Wales. Newport belongs to the borough of Telford and Wrekin. Its population is just under 12000 people. Newport has won two awards from the Heart of England and Britain in Bloom. It is the only town to have won six gold awards in succession. A large proportion of its economy is based around Education.
