11 PLUS FOR PARENTS – HERTFORDSHIRE GRAMMAR SCHOOLS

There are 6 mixed selective schools, 1 boys selective school and 1 girls selective school in Hertfordshire. The 11 plus exams for Hertfordshire Grammar Schools is in the month of September.

The results for Hertfordshire Grammar Schools come out in October. This is when parents are most likely to find out if their child has secured a Grammar School place.

WHAT IS HERTFORDSHIRE LIKE?

Hertfordshire is a county in Southern England and is one of the Home Counties. It has a population of around 1.2 million people. Plenty of land is protected by green belt and undeveloped land is predominantly agricultural. Many of the landmarks extend over many centuries from the Six Hills to the Leavesden Film Studios. Hertfordshire has a large volume of Tudor and Medieval buildings which still remain intact. It aslo has excellent commuter links to London and the service sector is the largest contributor to its economy.
